Alison Diprose

Alison (together with Siobhan Manase) is Children’s and Youth Pastor at Laingholm Baptist Church in West Auckland. Coming from a background in Nuclear Physics and then secondary school teaching, for over twenty years Alison has run Friday Club (an after-school kids club) sharing about life with God with children and teenagers in the Laingholm community.

Andrew Ramsbottom

Andrew left school teaching to work for Scripture Union. He's experienced in biblical storytelling and has a particular interest in all-age (intergenerational) church.

Andy Banks

Andy hails from the UK and has been in youth and schools ministry for over 20 years, including 16 years with Scripture Union in England and NZ. He is passionate about walking the journey of faith with young people as they develop into lifelong disciples of Christ. Andy enjoys football, fishing and food and with his wife Carol are raising two teenage sons, meaning he never stops learning!

Angela Blundell

Angela has been involved in ministry with children and their families for the last 14 years, mostly focusing on babies and small people. She has an especial love for drawing all ages into worship and is currently working on developing intergenerational worship services with her hubby of 17 years, Dion and their four children. In her spare time, she enjoys a good book, writing and camping with her family.

Diana Langdon

Diana is the National Children and Families Ministry Enabler for the Anglican Church of NZ. She oversees Strandz, the hub of children and families ministry, which encourages and equips the church to grow young disciples with a strong, passionate and lasting faith in Christ.

Donna Funk


Donna has a ministry reaching, mentoring and discipling young people, and equipping others to do the same. She has served with Children's Bible Ministries in Auckland since 2008, been a teacher trainer and Bible in Schools teacher, taught in holiday camps and helped develop a Bible training school in Samoa.

Glenis Silby

Glenis is passionate about helping children connect with God.  She has 15 years' experience as a Children’s Pastor at Blockhouse Bay Baptist Church and also works part-time for SUNZ.

Hannah Medland

Previously an early childhood teacher, Hannah joined The Salvation Army's Territorial Children's Mission Department in late 2016. In her spare time, she loves to style her home and craft beautiful things.

Hilary Hague

Hilary began as the National Director of SUNZ early in 2018, another chapter in a long association with SUNZ. She is passionate about helping people grow an authentic faith that will hold them close to God in hard times as well as good. She loves gardening and has beautiful grandchildren.

Jacolize Becker

Jacolize has been working in children and families ministry in New Zealand for the past 14 years. She has worked as Children and Families Pastor for a Baptist Church and as Regional CAFMIN Coach for the Auckland Baptist Association and CEC. She has been involved with Scripture Union SUPAkids Camps and has been involved with the International Sports Coalition. She is also a Sports Chaplain with SCNZ. Jacolize is currently working as the Children and Family Ministry Facilitator for the Anglican Diocese of Auckland.

Kirsten Malcolm


Kirsten works as a school counsellor with young adolescents, alongside being a Master’s research student. With a background in primary education, she also led the Children’s Space for many years at Cityside Baptist. She is particularly interested in exploring ways of weaving intergenerational connections in church communities, and contemplative and creative spiritual practices.

Liz Eichler

Liz works part-time as SUNZ Wellington Children and Families worker and part-time as Children's Worker at Wellington Central Baptist Church. In her spare time, she tries to swim, walk and knit, though not all at the same time! She has recently become a Netflix chick flick addict.

Margaret Spicer

An experienced practitioner in strategic leadership, she brings insights into developing young people as leaders. After 8 years as Generational Ministries Pastor at Crossway Baptist in Melbourne, Margaret is now Associate Pastor at Greenlane Christian Centre.

Michael is National Director of Boys Brigade New Zealand (including ICONZ) working with boys aged 5-18 in churches throughout New Zealand.



Nancy Green


Nancy Green, Director of Faith Box, has 20 years in children’s ministry. She and her husband Brendon homeschooled their 4 children for 5 years and attend The Upper Room church in Auckland. In her role with Faith Box, Nancy encourages parents to have a future vision for their family and challenging them to practice faith at home.

Nigel Winder

Nigel heads up the Children and Families team for SUNZ. He loves opening the Bible with children and young people of all ages, helping them to grow as disciples of Jesus.

Paul Dadd

Paul works part-time for SUNZ, and the other part of his time as a children’s worker at St Margaret’s Anglican Church in Auckland. He is passionate about finding thoughtful and creative ways to help children and young people engage with the Bible.



Peter Meafou


Peter has been involved in the Ministry/Community space for over 20 years in varying roles from program delivery, management, establishing charitable trusts, delivering community programmes for families and running community events attracting up to 10,000 people all birthed from a Children’s Church programme. He is part of the leadership team that look after Synergy Church and is passionate about young people enjoying God and Life.

Phillip and Siobhan Porter

Phillip and Siobhan have been privileged to share in the lives of many kids - of all ages - including their five children, and are continually inspired by the contribution kids, teens and young adults can make to expanding the kingdom of God. Phillip is a pastor and eternal student and Siobhan homeschools their children.

Stu Paterson


Stuart is the overseer of Operations and Logistics at Cool Bananas Youthwork Trust based in Tauranga. He has been involved in Children’s Ministry leadership for 15 years. Since 2014 he has called Cool Bananas home. Stu likes to engage through humour and interaction, he enjoys equipping others with practical skills to further their work.
