Andrew left school teaching to work for Scripture Union. He's experienced in biblical storytelling and has a particular interest in all-age (intergenerational) church.

Andy has been in youth work since 2001. He moved from England to Wainuiomata Baptist Church in 2013 where he serves as the Youth & Children’s Pastor. He is passionate about discipling young people into adulthood and positively engaging with rangatahi in the community. Andy’s other passions in life include his love of football, movies and food!

Anna currently works in a part-time role as one of the Presbytery Central Children and Families enablers in Wellington.  She has about 20 years experience as a Youth then a Children’s worker in Presbyterian churches in Auckland and Wellington.

Ben Fountain


How we do church is in need of a good re-imagining and ordinary people like Ben are exploring ways that this can happen. He goes to Porirua Gospel Chapel which has been very generous and forgiving in his experiments with church over the years. He loves the idea of bringing the Bible to life through drama and comedy, especially now he is the father of two amazing girls, Grace and Nina.  Having grown up in India and PNG as a missionary kid he is sensitive to the need for communicating across cultures and generations. He is married to his superstar wife Sisi and when he is not working or family-ing he spends his time intending to get back in shape by doing more surfing and going tramping.

Colette is employed as a Children & Families Enabler for the Anglican Diocese of Wellington. She grew up on the Kapiti Coast and now lives in Otaki. In her spare time, she enjoys cycling & crafting.

Diana Langdon

Diana is the National Children and Families Ministry Enabler for the Anglican Church of NZ. She oversees Strandz, the hub of children and families ministry, which encourages and equips the church to grow young disciples with a strong, passionate and lasting faith in Christ.

Floyd Edwards

Floyd works at The Street Church full-time as one of two children's pastors and has a passion for seeing young lives transformed. With the hair of Samson and the height of Goliath, he's easy to pick out of a crowd. His superpowers include being able to figure out where "that smell" is coming from, the floss dance, and having eyes in the back of his head.

Previously an early childhood teacher, Hannah joined The Salvation Army's Territorial Children's Mission Department in late 2016. In her spare time, she loves to style her home and craft beautiful things.

Hilary Hague

Hilary began as the National Director of SUNZ early in 2018, another chapter in a long association with SUNZ. She is passionate about helping people grow an authentic faith that will hold them close to God in hard times as well as good. She loves gardening and has beautiful grandchildren.



Jannah Dennison

Jannah works at Lifepoint Church as the Children and Families' Worker. She is Mum to three great school-aged boys and likes lego, guinea pigs, cycling, and reading multiple books at the same time.

John Burgess

Having parented two girls to adulthood, John missed the opportunity to 'blow things up' with boys, so became involved with an ICONZ unit (offshoot of Boys Brigade) at the UH Baptist church. Here he has helped boys of ages 8 to 14 understand life and faith (and explosives) for the last six years. When he is not tramping, mountain biking, monitoring predator traps and bait stations, or involved with ICONZ, he earns money as a Scientist at BRANZ in Wellington, testing windows and claddings for weather-tightness and thermal performance. John studied missiology at Carey College in Auckland and has engaged with the sending and governance of mission. He tries to walk towards God whenever possible, but struggles and fails most of the time.

Liz Eichler

Liz works part-time as SUNZ Wellington Children and Families worker and part-time as Children's Worker at Wellington Central Baptist Church. In her spare time, she tries to swim, walk and knit, though not all at the same time! She has recently become a Netflix chick flick addict.



Nancy Green


Nancy Green, Director of Faith Box, has 20 years in children’s ministry. She and her husband Brendon homeschooled their 4 children for 5 years and attend The Upper Room church in Auckland. In her role with Faith Box, Nancy encourages parents to have a future vision for their family and challenging them to practice faith at home.

Nathan Dawson

Nathan has been one of the Children's Pastors at The Street Church for the past three years. He believes being a mad keen fisherman aids his ability to truly understand Jesus' words "..become fishers of men”, and therefore makes it mandatory to get out regularly. Stories have been told of him even taking out his young people, labelling it as “work”.

Nigel heads up the Children and Families team for SUNZ. He loves opening the Bible with children and young people of all ages, helping them to grow as disciples of Jesus.

Paul Dadd

Paul works part-time for SUNZ, and the other part of his time as a children’s worker at St Margaret’s Anglican Church in Auckland. He is passionate about finding thoughtful and creative ways to help children and young people engage with the Bible.

Paul works for SUNZ facilitating camps and developing resources in the area of youth well-being. In his spare time, he runs a ridiculously long way...just for fun.




Raewyn Hewitt

Raewyn has worked with children experiencing grief, loss and trauma for many years, and has also been a part-time Children’s Ministry leader on the Kapiti Coast. She is currently the National Resource Centre Coordinator for Skylight where she has also been supporting the adults who support the children.



Sacha Green

Sacha and her family been involved in community-building work in inner city Wellington for two decades, with the past four years living as tenants in one of the city's largest social housing complexes. Sacha has a background as a community lawyer and now works as an advisor at the national office of Citizens Advice Bureau, alongside her busy community life. She is passionate about social justice, a fastidious recycler, and mama to four amazing tamariki.



Sue Perry

Sue has worked in Special Education for 12 years. Her speciality is working with young people who have multiple disabilities, however, she has also worked with young people who have moderate needs. Sue's focus is on being inclusive and how we make our space a welcoming and accessible environment for all children and their whanau.

Wendy Joyes

Wendy works nearly full-time as the Children and Young Families Pastor at Hutt City Baptist Church.  In her spare time, she enjoys papercraft (scrapbooking, cardmaking, etc), music & movies, and spending time with her gorgeous Labrador-cross Biko.
