Light is Scripture Union's range of resources to help you run fun, flexible and exciting Bible-based sessions for children and young people. Perfect for Sunday School, Junior Church and youth group settings, Light equips you with all you need to teach and disciple your groups in a way that works for you.
The Light range provides you with a wealth of great flexible materials for running sessions for preschoolers through to teenagers, all following the same syllabus. It also provides great resources for all-age services.
Exodus Prime young leader training camp and mentorship programme from Scripture Union NZ equips young Christians to be leaders of impact, today and in the future. After camp each student meets with a mentor provided by their church once a month for 12 months. SUNZ provides training and all the resources for the mentor. Exodus Prime runs on a four-year cycle with each year as a stand-alone course. We hope that students will return to build on what they have learnt previously.
Year 10 to 13 students who are ready to develop personally and as a Christian leader are nominated by their church or school to attend a five-day camp in Wellington, New Zealand in January. $250 covers the five-day Exodus Prime camp, plus the training and resources for the 12-month mentorship programme. We strongly encourage churches to support their emerging leaders by sponsorship and fundraising assistance.

Identify candidates for Exodus Prime. In your first year of association with Exodus Prime you can send two young people from your church or school. An extra two students can be added each year over the next three years to a maximum of eight.

Thriving faith! That is our vision for the children, young people and families of Aotearoa. We know that many churches are concerned about the faith of the next generation, and long to see their community thrive.
Scripture Union New Zealand is offering to journey with your church over a year to address this challenge. We will facilitate a whole church consultation, and support you to develop a strategy for the future. Our desire is to see healthy churches, where people of all ages thrive in their faith!
Consultation: A SUNZ Consultant will meet with you to talk through your church situation and what you need.
Facilitation: We will host a whole church facilitation for your church. This facilitation addresses 8 key strategies that support lifelong discipleship. This is a 2 ½ hour facilitation, which could be run on an evening or a Sunday afternoon. It is interactive and will kick start your church conversation about growing disciples.
Develop a plan: We will help your church to develop a simple but effective plan for the next 12 months, that the whole church can be excited about!
Ongoing support: over the rest of the year we will support you as you put your plan into action. We will provide additional workshops, resources and guidance as required.

Engage Daily Bible Reading App is a new way to engage with God through scripture. New audio Bible readings, along with discussion questions you can follow with on-screen, are released every day. A young Kiwi reads the scripture to you, and at the end of each reading they ask you a few thoughtful questions and they finish with a prayer. You can listen as a group or by yourself, and can link to a Facebook page to share your thoughts about the questions. Click here to view the Engage App Facebook Page

The app is specifically designed for smartphones and tablets. It can be used on all mobile platforms and available for download from the following app stores: Apple App Store, Google Play, Windows Marketplace and Amazon Appstore.
As well as English, all the daily readings and scriptures are available in Maori.
You can download all the bible readings in the app so you can listen to them offline at any time. Use the download manager to play the readings that you have downloaded, to delete them or even to share them.
In the Engage App you can see all of our current and upcoming events such as our youth camps. You can view all the details of our event and register all from right within the app.
We know that you probably already have a bible app on your device, but having the bible in the Engage App makes it that much easier for you. You can listen and read the reading in our App, but if you need to access the bible you don't even have to leave the app. You can view the ESV bible (with audio) right inside the Engage App.
Our 'Youthserve' programme helps young people follow Jesus and put their faith into action in the local community. SUNZ will work with your New Zealand church to equip young people for a 1-7 day mission which tackles local service projects and reaches out to the local community through lifestyle evangelism.
Faith-sharing goes alongside practical service, as young people clear weeds, scrub graffiti , work with the elderly, run kids activities or meet any need in your own community. We have Bibles donated by the Bible Society to give out as your young people connect with community members and families, and build bridges to churches and SUNZ Youth schools work.
