Donors like you are at the heart of everything we do at Scripture Union New Zealand (SUNZ) and without your generosity we would not be able to carry out our mission to support churches to help children and young people discover Jesus and become life-long disciples who serve the world around them. Thank you for supporting this important mission with a donation.
Stewarding your donations
We're good stewards of the resources we're given and have accountability measures in place to ensure every dollar is used as effectively as possible. In addition, we are externally audited to ensure further integrity and accountability.

Updates from SUNZ
We’d love to keep you updated on the ministry you are supporting and share with you the difference you are making through your giving. There are several options of mailings and emails you can sign-up to receive, and they are all free.
- SUNZ email updates - In these we share stories of some of the young people you’ve supported and let you know what new projects we’re working on and how you could get involved. Sign-up to receive these emails here.
- Adventure magazine - this is our quarterly magazine, full of quality Christian articles, resources for ministry and the latest news and stories from SUNZ ministries. Sign-up to receive Adventure magazine here.
- Prayer Adventure - our bimonthly newsletter with daily prayer points will help guide you in your prayers for our work. Sign-up to receive Prayer Adventure by email here.
- Staff prayer letters - our ministry staff each write a quarterly prayer newsletter which you can receive either by post or email. Visit our staff page here and click on the member of staff you’re interested in hearing from, there you’ll find their email address to request to be added to their mailing list. Alternatively, you can email marketing@sunz.org.nz, letting us know which prayer letters you’d like to receive and whether you’d like them by email or post.

Overfunding
Our goal is to always send your funds to the area of ministry you have indicated an interest in supporting. In some cases, these areas of ministry can be fully funded. When that's the case, to avoid your donation sitting in a suspended donation fund, we reallocate any extra funds to where they are most needed within SUNZ.
Donation receipts
For one-off donations of over $5 we will send a donation receipt to you via email if we have your email address, and by post if not. For regular donations, we will send a consolidated donation tax receipt to you at the end of the tax year. If you haven't received or you've misplaced your receipt please email us at accounts@sunz.org.nz or call 0508 423 836. For information on claiming your donation tax credit click here.
