Exodus Prime young leader training camp and mentorship programme from Scripture Union NZ equips young Christians to be leaders of impact, today and in the future. After camp each student meets with a mentor provided by their church once a month for 12 months. SUNZ provides training and all the resources for the mentor. Exodus Prime runs on a four-year cycle with each year as a stand-alone course. We hope that students will return to build on what they have learnt previously.
A different type of leadership camp.
Year 10 to 13 students who are ready to develop personally and as a Christian leader are nominated by their church or school to attend a five-day camp in Wellington, New Zealand in January. $250 covers the five-day Exodus Prime camp, plus the training and resources for the 12-month mentorship programme. We strongly encourage churches to support their emerging leaders by sponsorship and fundraising assistance.

11-day wilderness journey for Year 12 and 13 Students.
E3 is for Year 12-13 school students (ages 17-18). Travelling as a small community through remote wilderness areas of Aotearoa New Zealand, each expedition is focussed on developing the character of participants and strengthening their connections with God, others, and creation. Through a combination of shared experiences (back-country cooking, participation in citizen science projects and practical conservation, facilitating decision-making), daily discussions and solo-time, we will explore how we fit into God's story and reflect on what this might mean for the next season of life.
What's E3 About?
E3 is a partnership between SUNZ, Adventure Specialties and A ROCHA NZ. E3 ministries believe that wilderness experiences are significant - helping us to understand ourselves better and deepening our relationships with others, with God, and with God's creation.
What will be involved?
E3 Expeditions involve a range of outdoor pursuits (Rafting, Sea Kayaking, Mountain-Biking, Tramping) as together we pilgrimage through remote wilderness areas of Aotearoa, New Zealand.
Each journey looks different.
Our journeys range from tramping through the Lewis Pass high country and a multi-day rafting expedition down the Waiau Toa/Clarence River, or scaling alpine passes in Aspiring National Park and sea-kayaking across Lake Wanaka.
What E3 campers have said.
“I learnt a lot about myself and others, also how amazing creation is!
Seeing beautiful scenery I’ve never experienced before all created by God!”
“It was an environment that you could feel comfortable to share your feelings - this was a big help as it was encouragement for me in my faith journey.”
“Through E3 I have grown in confidence in myself. I also think my mental strength has improved. What I learned on E3 has already helped me in the leadership role I now have at school."
“I have a new respect for creation and the need to conserve and appreciate what we have been given.”
“We started off as a bunch of strangers and ended up like a close knit family.”
Make sure you don't miss out.
Because our epic E3 expeditions only take a tight knit group, spots on E3 usually fill up quickly. We can only take about 12 campers on each trip so if you like the sound of E3 then make sure you register quick!

Engaging young people in local mission
YOUTHSERVE helps young people follow Jesus and put their faith into action in the local community. SUNZ will work with your New Zealand church to equip young people for a 1-7 day mission which tackles local service projects and reaches out to the local community through lifestyle evangelism.
Faith-sharing goes alongside practical service, as young people clear weeds, scrub graffiti , work with the elderly, run kids activities or meet any need in your own community. We have Bibles donated by the Bible Society to give out as your young people connect with community members and families, and build bridges to churches and SUNZ Youth schools work.
Upcoming YOUTHSERVE events:
There are no YOUTHSERVE events scheduled at the moment. Please check back later for updates.
For more information about YOUTHSERVE please contact Andy Banks at andy.b@sunz.org.nz

A film series for young adults about working out your faith — encourage and spark discussion.
You can order NUA now by clicking the button below.
*Final cover images may slightly differ.
NUA is all about exploration.
NUA is a film series that encourages questions, acknowledges doubt, and offers an engaging perspective on the Christian faith.
NUA equips you with the ability to intelligently explore and understand what you believe.
We give you tools to discuss your worldview with credibility and confidence, while encouraging you to wrestle with the things that just don’t seem to make sense. At the end of the day, this film series is about impact—immediate and personal, as well as the long-term, life-changing experience of working out your faith.
We’re taking an honest look at questions many of us have.
NUA / nu: ʌ / noo-ah / Language of origin: Irish Adjective, meaning “new”.
NUA looks at questions about Jesus, the Bible, and what it means to be a Christian. It’s a fresh perspective, a different conversation — created in Ireland, hosted by an Irishman.
NUA is for everyone.
NUA is a series of eight short films (approx 15mins each) intended to be watched over time. NUA is ideal in an educational setting, church/parish, youth group, university or with friends. These are films to engage with and pick apart. More than anything, NUA is a fresh learning experience.
Making NUA.
NUA has been put together by Scripture Union Ireland. NUA comes from many years spent with young people, listening to their questions. Doubt is the result of an active, engaged mind interested in seeking truth — something we love to see! So we set out to help young adults dig deeper as they explore faith and spirituality.
Putting NUA together.
Three writers and more than 30 reviewers — including chaplains, teachers, young professionals, parents, clergy, and actual young people — worked together to craft each episode.
We hired the best team we could find.
To put this series together we hired a creative video agency based in Dublin called Tiny Ark, along with director, Greg Fromholz — to create an artistic expression of common doubts, questions, and truths. Everyone involved brought something different to the project — but we have one thing in common: passion. Each of us cares deeply about investing in young people and their journey of faith.
A journey of faith.
Over the course of three years, the NUA team worked at funding, writing, planning, production, and editing. Today, we have a film series we can be proud of — one we hope will bring encouragement and spark discussion among young adults in Ireland and around the world.
The NUA Package.
NUA is now available for pre-order. The product range of NUA consists of three products. The NUA USB stick is packed with high quality HD episodes, training videos and more. The NUA Guide is an invaluable resource for lesson plans, engagement activities and discussion topics. The NUA journal is a beautiful and helpful tool where viewers can freely process and record their thoughts and ideas along the journey.
